Ford granada driveshaft retaining nuts

The info I have is below
Granada Mk3 Scorpio hub nuts

(Same as ford sierra/escort cosworth part)

Spanner size 41mm Thread size 22mm x 1.5mm

Right hand thread Ford UK Part number 6133688

Ford USA part numbers
LHT: E822078S100
RHT: E822077S100

6133688 (E822077 S100) O/S is Right hand thread

6133689 (E822078 S100) N/S is Left hand thread

If I remember correctly the nuts are41 across the flats.

I got mine from Ebay

When I rebuilt mine I used SKF bearings.

If you just need the nuts the local Ford dealer should be able to get them as I have got them from them before. Or an internet trawl will bring them up at various motor factors. They do need to be very tight 200 ft.lbs torque. I use a 3/4" torque wrench which is about 4 feet long and rest the extension bar on an axle stand.

Still having a bit of a hard time.

Tried 22x1.5 but it seems like too coarse a thread.

They are the 108mm mk1 granada hubs unfortunately which means the 100mm ones linked don't work for us (if have a 100mm one in the car at the moment but would rather dont change drive shafts).

I just measured the thread tonight on a 100mm stub axle and it appears to me to be m22x1.25 or 7/8" - 20tpi UNEF. Does anyone know if the Granada is more likely to be metric or imperial?

Undoubtedly metric.

So does anyone know where I might be able to get some of these? I've tried a few places in Australia with no luck (we never had Granadas here).

I got my last ones from Ebay but have got them in the past from the local Ford dealer. If my memory serves me correctly the nuts are the same on the Sierra.

Thanks so much for your replies gents. Sorry, I missed them. For some reason I didn't receive email notification. Mike, thanks very much for looking. That looks like the correct nut to me. Unfortunately, I just ordered one from Motomobil and freight was about 3 times the price of the nut! They told me it's 7/8" 20tpi. We'll see if it works. 7/8" 20tpi is very very close to M22x1.25.
