Ron, if you do the Hoosiers grooved then keep us posted. I have not tried that yet but interested.
 
Thanks for that Tim, that solves my problem. I wanted Ho hos from the get go but wanted some rain shedding capability. This RKR grooving will provide that feature and allow one to run a modern sticky radial tire. Grooved Ho ho R6s will be the ticket.

I don't know about the Avon CR6ZZ personally, but it looks like an "old school" vintage race tire to me. And if it behaves like a vintage race tire, such as a Blue Streak, then I'd much prefer the Ho ho.

I know how the Hoosiers work and how they drive since I race with them on a regular basis. The Hoosiers are a modern radial race tire with modern tread compounds that are incredibly sticky.

I'm going to call about a set tomorrow now that I've ordered my wheels.
