help (again) Gurney Weslake info????

Has anyone ever put one of these into an SPF or CAV? Anything you can tell me about this powerplant would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what your getting at here, but you could make any SCF 'look' like that by buying the rocker covers, exhaust system , & intake setup, as its just a 289/302 beneath all that bling..

Those are not Weslake heads. The ones pictured just have "Gurney Weslake" engraved on them. Google for images of the real things. And they will go in a Superformance GT40 on a small block Ford with no problem.

 

I didn't know if they were still building engines, or someone else building them in their name. Or, if it's common to do a kind of "replica" by doing as you said, with the rocker covers exhaust,etc. I do know that this engine was most likely built in South Africa.

The current owner bought the car as it is and he believes that it came as a complete car from South Africa with an engine in it.
