Flatchat, I did as you suggested and here is Trevor's response:

Thank you for your email today..
Always try to help out - when we can. (Guess its starting to cool down over in the States now leading up to Christmas..)

We have done measurement comparisons between standard, Edelbrock performer, Victor Jnr, Ford Motorsport.
1) Standard - & Edelbrock performer heads are the same port position so pipes are interchangeable, you just have to check port face to pipes.
2) Victor Jnr. heads have port bolts about 3/16" higher but port is smaller than performer head. Your pipes should bolt to these heads. You may have to modify mounting brackets..
3) Victor heads & Ford Motorsport heads are NOT interchangeable bolt pattern and port are completely different.

Lynn,

I have had two different engines in my car, one with Performer RPMs, and one with Victor Jrs. A little bit of force was required to get the exhaust to fit above the gearbox, as it sat higher with the V Jrs, but it wasn't a big deal.

Caveat Emptor

I have it on good authority that Edelbrock Performer RPM heads (and presumably plain Performer)have undergone some minor, but potentially problematic changes. These changes took place roughly at the beginning of 2003. It seems that Edelbrock, without telling anyone, raised the exhaust port just a touch, but left the bolt holes where they were. Excessive exhaust gasket failure has been experienced as a result. They also moved the sparkplug hole a few thousandths, which has resulted in some electrode/piston contact in certain situations. As my captain in the Navy used to always say, "A word to the wise is sufficient."
