Check out the Mk IV on this season's American Horror Story Double Feature. Episode 5 features a Red Mk. IV driven by one of the "bad" people on the show. He supposedly gets the car as a gift if you follow the plot of this season's show.

I think it looks like a modified Coyote kit car and is not any GT40 I have ever seen.
Here are some pics I took off the screen of my TV. On the show the character called the car a Ford GTO. It doesn't look like any GT40 model Mk1-MkV that I have ever seen.

I guess I have not noticed how different the Mk IV design was. The replica in the pics I have posted looks like it has an Aluminum body.
It's an RCR Mk IV. The owner provides cars to the TV and movie industry. The RCR body is very accurate. Glass body with rivets added to look like Alum.
Lee is correct. but the rocker panels are actually aluminum, hence the rivets
