Original SAE manual, MKII Ignition and Electrical

I do not know if everyone is aware of this, but all the SAE papers are still available. (Copy machine copies of the original with poor copies of the pictures are sold as downloads, faxes, hardcopy) Average price $9.00 to $25.00. Poor man's copies for sure, but still the official SAE paper.

In the UK you can still get the SAE papers from the British Library. I know they are about £11 a section. These are very good copies far better than the photocopied SAE papers that was selling for £55 sometime ago.

Note that the SAE publication "The Ford GT New Vehicle Engineering and Technical History of the GT-40" contains the 7 GT-40 papers in addition to very in depth technical information on the Ford GT in a single, color cover soft-bound 242 page book. About 70 bucks for members, $90 for the unwashed like me :). General info here:

http://www.sae.org/technical/books/PT-113

All of the papers contained within:

http://www.sae.org/servlets/PaperEv...PAGE=getSPPapers&PROD_TYP=BOOK&PROD_CD=PT-113

I've really enjoyed this book, but it was written by engineers so don't expect the polished content you would expect after it has been gone through by a professional technical writer.

Regards,

Al
