Rear clam shell shock

Hello All , Need help finding a good location to mount shocks for the rear clam shell on the SLC ? Thanks

I don't know of anybody that has struts on the rear clam. My setup with the factory hinge and street tail does not , the hinge itself supports the rear clam when fully opened. Hope this information is helpful to you.

I have see some videos with them on a SLC but hard to tell where it is attached? I was wondering if someone had it on there SLC and contribute some Photos

This may help, I think this was a very early build and might have been the first to add struts…

Thank you Joel , This gives me some direction. Lois like they added a bracket that pivots

I think he put a bracket there because the rear wheel wells are not installed. I think you can mount the gas strut to the rear vertical surface of the wheel well liners if you have them.

Hi Greg, my old KCC struts work well on very heavy old clips. Regards, Adrian
