Scrap wheels for $$$

Not too long ago, I posted about needing to replace the bent alloy rims on my wife's Mazda with new ones. After getting a new set from Tirerack, a metal recycler paid $35 for the old rims. It's not much, but it's better to recycle them than just throw them out in the trash.

Nice work. It is a wonder to me that people don't recycle anything and everything suitable all the time...actually more disturbing than a wonder. The energy and economics of it all are generally massively tilted toward recycling...only convenience suffers.

Now returning to my perpetually self-induced, tormented state of mind that loves both cars and trees.
