Stupid question: Quaife QBE62G -- is there a reverse lockout?

I spent the afternoon trying to get a customer's car with a brand new Quaife QBE62G into reverse. I know it's full anti-clockwise and up, but it simply won't go. 1-5 is fine. Am I missing some kind of reverse lockout mechanism?
