According to the ad its registered as a 1966 car. This makes it exempt of the road licence fee in the UK, as it was registered before 1973.

All sounds very dodgy.

More accuratly, he has a 1966 logbook which he is selling with a pile of bits. The two don't appear to be 'legally' related.

tax exempt status works on a points system based on the "original" vehicle. Anything that deviates from that - engine- axle - chassis etc looses points. I would be amazed if anything from the original vehicle still exists.
