Team Superlite Cars Race Results from Mid-Ohio

Video finally ready. This was taken from a wing-mounted camera, so it is all rear-facing. Kind of hard to see the faces of the passed drivers.

Damp track, on slicks, so early laps are slow, then more speed is evident.

We fixed the oil problem for the nats...

It's lonely at the front until you start to lap people.

Great vid Will. Thanks for sharing. That Corvette seemed to be carrying some power under the hood. It couldn't stay around long though.

Yeah, the Corvette had power, but Ryan was trying to be prudent about the start, since the tires were cold, the track was damp, and we didn't have anything to prove. So Ryan let him by when it was obvious he wanted to run harder on cold tires than we did.

Ryan passed him later in the first lap after the SLC got a little heat in the tires.

Maybe he had a moment of clarity in the next few corners, because he didn't look nearly as racy after Ryan passed him. :shocked2:

Hi, new guy here, nice to be able to be able to talk to you all. Anyway, awesome footage. I joined this forum mostly to get more info on RCR and the Superlite cars, and it's great to see one on the track. Now I just need to find a way out of dream land and into a real RCR.

WOW - That was fun! Great video - someday though someone needs to figure a way to keep the nice clear video and include the true engine sound without all the wind noise. I thought towards the middle of the video that you guys had just rented the track for yourselves! Curious about the smoke - was that from the tires in the corners?

Regards,
Dave L

Dave, smoke was from an oil leak, subsequently fixed. Just wait until next weekend for the Nationals! Video Will?

We are planning to have video for the nationals. Probably even from the front!

The problem is that the cameras we are using aren't as reliable as we'd like, and sometimes they just stop recording, or there is some other technical problem. And occasionally, we've been in a rush to get the car out on time after a repair that the cameras haven't always been installed and setup.

We'll do our best at the National Championships! We enjoy the video as much as anyone- maybe more!
