Unbelievable

Geez, two years....

I had a similar experience a month ago with a guy overtaking me on the inside (yes on the inside) and when he finished doing that he slammed the brakes because he was going too fast and people in front of him were braking and thus made me rear end him (it was wet and unlike him I had no ABS).

Fortunately nothing major happend to either cars (I lost one front light) as I was quick on the brakes but unfortunately locked them up.

But I would most certainly have ended up with the blame since the were no witnesses (who bothered to stop...) and when I pointed out to him that he was speeding and overtaking on the inside he just claimed that I failed to keep proper distance.

All in all a very annoying experience when you feel innocent.

My first accident (ever) in 19 years of driving.

I also have a Jaundiced view of insurance company's but would like to relate a positive story.
In a shopping center car park a woman in in a 4WD reversed into my wife's
355 despite Di standing on the horn and desperately trying to get her car started and into reverse.
"Sorry I didn't see you" said women dissolving into tears. I'm sure Di was very lady like in reply...
Only minor Damage but in an Fcar even minor damage is costly. Our insurance company only asked one question, was Di stationary at the time? Answer yes. The company Shannons, said no fault, no loss of no claim bonus, please take the car to a Ferrari specialist repair shop, do not let them try to repair the damaged bumper, make sure they replace it with a genuine Ferrari part and while they are doing the paint they might as well fix the stone chips as well:thumbsup:
A big hurrah for Shannons Insurance and now they insure all my cars and bikes.
