What would you do?

Ian,

To get the jam nut on and the car aligned as a road car as it was designed to be, the weld in tube end mearly needs to be machined back just to the weld. The shoulder of the bung is basically the same width as a jam nut. Worst case, the jam nut might need to be thinned just a tad as well.

Once the car is set up to the design specs, then I can speculate on building a new set of control arms with the adjustability to experiment with alignment settings for track use. I will (at least on paper for now) take a look at your suggestion.

Regards,
Lynn
