Most of the T70”s had a 305 with 4 Webber’s. Some of the T160 and T163’s had big blocks. The Banzai runners car had a BBC as did a couple in Australia. As they say of the 25 original Lola T70mk3B’s approximately 100 survive.

As per usual Rick is correct. No “S” in their name. When a group of us go there, we add in the “S” out of habit. I never liked their shrimp cocktail, but many do. I displayed at the PRI , and IMIS shows in Indy for many years and always made sure we eat there.

A lot of guys around here have helium added to the argon. It helps the impurities float out of the weld. Also use a CLEAN stainless steel brush to clean the aluminum before welding. As discussed here.
Light-pressure manual or powered wire brushing with a clean stainless steel wire brush usually...
If using a mig on aluminum, a spool gun works the best for us to achieve consistent beads. This helps prevent the aluminum filler wire from stretching.
