Fellow and Ladies,
As you might remember, if you've been on the board long enough, we had a discussion about photo hosting way back when. One of the things I was worried about was copyrighted photos appearing on the web page.
Well, I dismissed my concern based on the fact that
www.gt40s.com didn't actually host the photo, you guys were hosting them on your on site and we were just linking to it.
That has changed. For the last few months you have been able to upload photos into your posts here without linking them elsewhere. And that is getting us in trouble.
I've already received email from one indivdual whom I'm certain has the rights to a photo that another user scanned from a book and posted. I have removed the photo and the post.
Please, do not scan photos from books and post them here. Only post photos that you own, have rights to, or are in the public domain. It isn't a huge deal but it could certainly turn out to be a huge deal with the wrong parties.
