Great GT40 quote!

Hi guys,

I read this today--it's from an interview with English car dealer Adrian Hamilton, son of Le Mans winner (in a D-type Jaguar) Duncan Hamilton. They co-owned a GT40 road car back in the day. About it, he wrote:

"A.H. I competed in sprints and so on. My first contest was against Jack Le Fort in his Ferrari GTO for which he had just paid £6,000. I was pleased to blow the doors off him and I remember a run of 24.8 seconds in the Brighton Speed Trials. However, driving it on the road was something else. It was like lying in bed, connected up to a sauna, being blasted by sound from every quarter and gassed at the same time. You needed a periscope, wet suit, earplugs and gasmask to handle it properly."

Hilarious!
