| Very impressive Ron. I'm also amazed you were able to get plates for it already—without an engine or working brakes. Good job! And another Pantera? How do you have time for work and family? I need to know your secret. Keep up the great work!

| Ron -
Car is looking fantasitic. 2 questions (Not sure if covered before).
1. Did you modifiy the tops of your fuel caps? I like the flat tops vs. the curved top.
2. Who made your dry sump tank and what size is it? Fran had found a square one I think from ARE but I might not be a bad idea to have a second choice if that one won't work.
Again, car is looking awsome!
Sandy

| Mark: There is no inspection in Maryland for "Historic" tags.My secret is NO SLEEP! LOL
Sandy: The gas caps are as delivered.Yours should be the same. The dry sump tank was made by Peterson. The shop that originally built my engine had it made to their specs.
Thanks for the comments guys!

| A great advert for RCR Ron, tell me, what is the capacity of your oil reservoir and is it custom or a stock item? |

Sandy | I remember reading at one point that Fran had designed a reservoir for the dry sump oil into the fuel tank areas. Is this not right? Perhaps it is a development that was implemented after your kit was built, Ron, but I thought it a great idea.
BTW--your build really is an inspiration, as Fran said. Your color is very close to the color I will use--a metallic blue Ford color used in 1972 on their full size cars. And, the new rear deck vent RULES! I thought I liked the other one, but the new look is fab!
From one who has watched silently, great work!
Doug

| There is a tank built into the chassis on the left rear of the fuel tank....that can be used for many things...one of which could be an oil tank....
Rons car has the dry sump pump on the opposite side so shorter lines to an aftermarket tank made sense.

| Fran: That means a great deal coming from you. Anything I can do to spread the word about your amazing cars is no problem at all.
Keith1: The tank holds 9 qts and was built to the specifications of the engine builder by Perteson.
Doug: The color is Ford Windveil Blue. I am totally in love with it !
Bill: You've got a lot of room to talk about great progress!
I got the roll over vent here. http://www.streetrodcatalog.com/manu...es-tanks.shtml
It was a perfect fit.Very nice place to deal with.

| Re: RCR Chassis #14 Ron McCall Dave : Thanks!!!
Here's a few pictures of my headers.I spent most of the weekend making them!I started Saturday morning with a big pile of pipes. I am leaving for SEMA in about 8 hours and wanted to get all of the tubes mocked up before I left. They still need to be fully welded. They are only tacked together now.
Keep in mind that this is the first set of headers I have made and will probably only be temporary. The Yates heads as well as the taller deck height made it quite a task!!!
I plan to have a set of 180deg pipes made up by a professional fabricator in the next few years. Until then, these will do great! One of the reasons I decided not to cross over the center tubes is that my Pantera has a kick ass set of 180s on it and I didn't want the two cars to sound the same.( not that they would anyway with the GT40 making an extra 250hp!!!!! )

| Re: RCR Chassis #14 Ron McCall Here's another one.
The brackets welded to them are only temporary .Until I get then fully welded. Then they will be ceramic coated.

| Re: RCR Chassis #14 Ron McCall Last for now. I have a bunch of progress pictures I need to post but haven't had time lately. I was just pretty excited about these. This was one of the most dreaded parts of the build for me.
