Yes i know, but i've seen some builds where they get the aluminum in pieces rather then welded. Sorry i must be mistaking the RCR with another manufacturer. Sorryf for the confusion. |

the RCR is the only aluminum monocoque currently available...
the others manuafcturer that you may be thinking of is a tubular steel chassis with aluminum applique panels to create a mono style look

Rep Power: 25 | Ron, I would like to add that having spent 8 months doing my bodywork myself I always am drawn to the fitlines on these cars. I looks to me like you saved yourself 8 months of work.
Fran, Very nice work. And that's comming from someone who knows what he's looking at. I was going to ask how you did it but never mind. It looks great.
Any more on the prototype? |

| Howard,
thanks very much...praise indeed from one who covered himself in sanding dust...for eight months....
Brad (my tooling maker) works very hard on all of the RCR moulds to ensure minimal parting lines and great surface finish.....it really pays off when you see the quality of the bodies.
The RCR-P has been massaged a on a little since Carlisle, but we are hard at work on the 917 at the moment.
