Thought some people might be interested in details of my body latches for the front and rear clips.
These are the latches that were fitted to my first car. They are available from RS components here..... http://rswww.com/cgi-bin/bv/rswww/se...eID=uknetscape
And the part number (for stainless) is 687-174
They have a small amount of adjustment and are "lockable" (ie, lockable closed, not lockable with a key)

In it, you'll find a picture of the Dzus TL 300A which is nice alternative that fits very nicely into the catch recesses. When polished up, the stainless version looks good as well. Below are dimensional drawings:
