Rep Power: 2 | Round Driving Light Option? Has anyone successfully replaced the standard fog light/turn signal array located under the headlights with the larger, round driving lights found on several of the Mk I cars (e.g., P/1076)? I thought I had read somewhere that one of our colleagues had located these driving lights with built-in turn signal bulbs.
Whatever the solution, I'd very much like to explore this as a final modification before I take delivery of my car next month. Any recommendations?
You can see P/1076 with these lights below:

Rep Power: 18 | Re: Round Driving Light Option? I had some lights I got that looked good and could be made to have the turn indicator They were off a Simca 1000. The had a secondary lamp that could be used for a turn indicator but I think they were really just the parking light. Round Driving Lamps

I wanted the same look and found Triumph Vittesse lamps were a perfect fit (5 3/4"). You can purchase them in the U.K together with all the mounting hardware. Not sure where you would get them in the U.S but I think there are specialists over there for old triumphs.
Cheers,

They have a bunch of different mirrors and lights, and probably have just what you need. They do have some 5.75 inch headlights with integrated parking lights, which is probably what was fitted to 1076 and the cars like it.

Rep Power: 2 | Re: Round Driving Light Option? Hi Guys,
For what its worth I used Sev Marchal round driving lights from a Citroen DS. The ones that turn with the steering. If I knew how to post a picture i would. They are about the right size and look good. My car is a replica of 1075 in 69 LeMans trim. I have the correct Lucas lamps set in the sides in front of the wheel arches with aftermarket side repeater lamps tucked up out of sight in the spotlight aperture. When i signal to turn they reflect in the spotlight and i have used it like this for the last 10 years with no problems when having it tested for MOT. Hope this helps.

On John's 1076 CAV we fitted Cibie (Valeo) 5 3/4 lamps with mounting rings and hardware from Europa Specialist Spares www.europaspares.com
You can choose from hi/low/turn or just high beam units. Nice addition to the car and really not any more fiddly than ten thousand other things you can do.
Cheers

Rep Power: 2 | Re: Round Driving Light Option? Many thanks, guys! Some great leads; now I just have to wait for my car to be ready for pick-up (maybe next Thursday!). Once I have it home I'll begin some of the more esoteric modifications, and this will probably be the first.
