Wink Re: Which tig welder to get?

I have used the scatt out of Lincolns, but I found the Hobarts weld real fine, with no splatter, I also get real good control and penitration.

Re: Which tig welder to get?

I had a miller syncrowave 200 that was fantastic but recently sold because I just wasn't using it. I never had an issue with the machine and it would take care of anything I threw at it. The only problem was that the machine was physically huge and it weighed a ton. Everyone around here seems to have a bad back, making moving it anywhere impractical. If I had more use for a TIG, I would get the new Diversion 180 which only weighs 50lbs and can still handle almost everything my syncrowave could.

A tig welder is not something you want to cheap out on. You have to pay to play with these...
