Nice post!! I recently watched a show on the military chanel that showed the history of stealth and how (if I remember correctly) England did this and also used mirrors I believe. Some interesting stuff.

The Boeing plant is Seattle was done up the same way. We were worried that the Japanese had the capacity to attack the West coast when in fact the only actual attack on the coast came via small balloon bombs launched from mainland Japan.

I believe the British did something like that for a factory in Coventry(?). They built a duplicate of the lake near the factory a bit to the south, then they built a fake factory next to the fake lake so bombers would see the fake factory first. They also built real smokestacks and then had people feed stoves so the smokestacks would emit smoke.
