WTD - 87-89 G50 Tail Cover

Hello sir.
When swapping the 87-89 trans cover to a later 90+, you will need the shorter shifter shaft. The tail cover lists from Porsche for about $1000, but I can get one for about $50-$100 cheaper to you. The shifter shaft can also be modified to fit the 87-89 box with some relatively simple machining, or I have a short shift shaft in stock For Sale.

Thanks.. We;ve decided to machine down the longer housing. I've reduced it from 9-5/8" long to 6-1/2" long which should work fine. I'm also removing a little more than 3" from the shifter shaft.
It is good to know you are there with these types of parts for those that don't have a machine shop at their disposal..
