pedal shapes?

Guys,

It's time to make the pedals for the car ... thought I'd do something "different." As I am a knife maker ... the different just might me a heavily contrasted damascus steel.

Would appreciate good ideas on the design of the pedals themselves? Standard shape or something line the left side tab'ed Momo's?

Make up a set of the old school 70's footprint pedals. No that's original!

Certainly don't mind a little humor ... but the question was a serious one. I haven't driven a nasty machine except with Detroit designed pdeal sets, or the Cobra which has aftermarket (AC) pedals.

Really was wondering if there is any concensus on what is good pedal design for such an application.
