Hey guys, I guess my sarcasm detector is busted again! Are you saying the car Restored by StanceWorks was a Sbaro creation (fake)? or the car on the flikr link is fake? or questionable? Or both? Just trying to understand the history of these cars.

And not to hijack.. but are the Sbaro cars worth more than a typical contemporrary GT40 re-creation? It almost seems like the scandal itself and all the mystery around these cars.... at some point will have sort of a life of its own. ??

Hi Mark....Best check out the thread RE:1040 which goes in to some detail about Sbarro and his antics! It's a sad tale of woe that is quite depressing for the many of us who adore the Ford GT40. This should pretty much answer all of your questions.

It would be a shame if we lost sight of Sbarro's truly amazing creations outside the realm of the GT40.
If you haven't seen how good an engineer he is, you need to check them out.
Puts quite a few of the member's efforts here in the shade.
This is not an effort to exonerate him, just an attempt to provide some balance.
