18" plus wheels

Is there anyone running 18" plus wheels or bigger on there 40's, if so any pics..

Judging by the size of the 17" BRM's etc in the arches of a GT40, i'd say that 18" would be overkill..

Steph have a look at DRB 46 in manufactures corner it has 17 fronts and 18 rears.

We use 18" front & rear, not a perticularily "original" look but when it comes to race rubber there is no real alternative.

We are using 270 x 650 x 18 front & 310 x 710 x 18 on the rears

18 would be fine if your on track all he time... but for road, i'd stick to 17's they will give a nicer ride.

Especially on some roads... if it's anything like B.C where you are!!

You could put whatever you like on the car.... but it's a personal choice, i just think 18's look too big in the arches, and i know how harsh the rde can be with them and 35mm-40mm sidewall.

IMHO, the 15's of proper width and period correct section width tires look best on the 40's.
