Thanks again Chas for all the info and figures. I'm glad somebody understands all this arcane stuff about bolts and deck heights. Keep us posted on developments. My maths seems to be telling me that a loss of about 100 pounds over the iron version on a 427 should get peoples attention. As the late great Colin Chapman said - to make a car go quick add lightness!

Pleasure is mine.
In a drag race car 100 lbs equates to about a tenth and a half.
In a road race car it pays dividends all around the friction circle.
Chapman was a legend who used lightness almost to a flaw.
