AMGT40/1 Engine/Induction??

According to the RacingIcons site Holman Moody outfitted this car with 58mm downdraft weber carbs for some period of time: http://www.gt40s.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=66239&stc=1&d=1373408489
Does anyone have leads to any more detailed engine pictures or info on the testing with these carbs and related history? I emailed Lee Holman some time back and don't recall he had anything to add. Thanks

Ive asked several questions in regard to this car during the time it was fitted with the FE motor, most seem to think it was only ever tested with the FE motor & largely as a 'mule' with different versions of the auto, crash 2spd auto, & T44 transaxles for Weissmann while they developed them. The photo you have posted was initially supplied by a member here who is a member of the Weissman family & posted the photo hoping someone here could fill in the gaps. There is a report from either Sebring or one of the superspeedway meets with the cars entry giving the capacity of 427 cu in, but people with more knowledge seem to think that was a misprint.
With regard to the 58mm Webers, IIRC there were two styles of intake manifold, one as we are familiar with was two carbs for each bank, the other stacked the carbs from front to rear ( each carb serving one cyl on each bank). It would appear that the intake in the pic is the first type.

Thanks for the input jac mac. Has the date been pinned down? Does anyone know the name of the mechanic who may have worked on this and if he's still around?

Check out these two threads in the'Original GT40s' section/forum.
AMGT/1 and 2-FE427 or SB289.
AMgt40/1.
The member of the weissmann family also had several pics relating to MKIV cars & the pic you posted above of the AMGT car in the gallery.
