Build process and procedure

Of all the cars I've built over the years I have always been of the opinion and built or modified cars by modifying, fabricating drilling, fitting, any type of fabricobling be done before any type of paint or coating. Once all drilled, welded, sorted and fitted then disassembled and then painted or whatever finish is desired be applied and then assembled. Just my thoughts...

Usualy yes. But GT40's are allways the other way around. You keep drilling welding and fabbing things to improve cause after driving your freshly build GT40 you experiance the need for upgrades (things you should have done better before painting).

My plan is to fit everything, making sure I am documenting how it went together, then take it all apart and powder coat, paint, seal, etc., then reassemble, then modify and repeat
