Did Evans last year. Became a bit discombobulated on the drive up the hill, but once I calmed down and got my act back together, I found it to be the most exhilarating experience I've had in a while, "pushing it" physically in thin air.
Interestingly, while at the peak, heard some pleasant sounds of two black Porsches hauling ass up the road. Unfortuantely, a park ranger was waiting for them at the top, with ticket book in hand.

Nice pics.

As a kid I spent time in Tahoe every winter skiing, one day the parents decided to haul us up in the summer !??!! What the heck do you do there in the summer? Asked the clueless offspring.

Well.....you do a lot of hiking the Sierras. Good times.

I must say though, one of my most memorable road trips were though the Rockies. Great driving, great roads.
