Headlight Options

So I want to know if there is more recent information available since this old thread went dry in 2005. What I would like to do is install a LED conversion into my old light reflectors that came with the car. OR just install a more modern bulb base type halogen bulb.

I seam to remember someone did this a while back. Does anyone have any ideas.

About a year ago, I replaced the incandescent bulbs with these LEDs. The removal and replacement was easy and they are very bright. Amazon says they are currently unavailable, but MICTUNING makes other LEDs.

Thanks terry. Those are H4 bases, how did they fit into the P45T base of the old reflector? Did you make a adapter or anything? By the way yours was the car I remembered with the LEDs. Did you do the rear also? If so, please post source. Thanks again.

I put LED headlight and rear bulbs. Probably the cheapest and easiest improvement I made, and it was a huge improvement. Here is the link to the thread with what I purchased on Amazon and also the converters for the headlight bulbs. It should have everything you need (I hope!)

In installed the same MICTUNING LED's that Tim did. They are excellent.

No adapter needed. They went straight in. I did not do the rear lights.

Every so often, Hillman Hunter rectangular headlamps appear on eBay. They are the same as the HC Viva unit.
