Rabies... now THERE'S a serious disease. ONE recorded survival of a patient who had clinically proven rabies encephalitis, in all of recorded history, and that person surviving but neurologically impaired. You don't want to screw around with rabies....

Incidentally, if you pull up electron microscopy of rabies virus, it looks like a bullet. Don't ask me why, I have no idea.
