Hi,
I'm joining you guys with the intention of understanding what I'm letting myself in for if and when I go ahead with building my own replica. I've been doing some poking around in the build logs already.
While I'm not a novice to working on cars, I haven't attempted a kit build to date, and I definitely have a "hack it and get it working" mentality that I want to get over before I start working on a kit.
I currently own a Lotus Elise (stockish, but a lot of track miles) and a Lotus Elite with a Chevy 350 in it. I race that one at 24 hours of lemons. (The B team on facebook)
In looking for a GT40 replica, I'm willing to spend more money to reduce the build time, though at the moment I can't justify the cash going all the way to a Superformance. (That might change)
Anyway, I'm impressed with what I've seen so far, and I'll be continuing to look around.
Steve
