I was at the suspension pace on Friday. Yes they did exactly what you said, they used spacers both front and rear.

I checked with the suspension engineer and unlike Penske shocks the Bilsteins are designed to be a travel limiter on full droop.
Kris. Agreed it was an awesome display of race craft especially after that really long pitstop. He had never driven that street circuit before and on the 2nd last lap of a 1 hour race he beat his qualifying time by 1 second! Crazy.
