Oil Pan

I was curious who's oil pan has been used on the Superformance cars. I know the Moroso and Canton road race pans are 8" tall. The Aviaid GT40 pan is 6 1/2" tall. The Roush pan is made by Canton, but I don't know it's height. I think ERA recommends nothing taller than 7 3/8" Trying to avaid the pan hanging below the tub. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

John,

I don't know specifically for the SPF, but I would guess either Aviad or Armando's. Personally, I think that Armando's looks the most original:

No idea what other people are using but I have an Aviaid dry sump pan for my big block, and i know someone else is using an aviaid dry sump pan also.

It is pretty shallow - maybe around 3 inches, certainly no more than 4".

From Dennis Olthoff regarding the oil pan he is using on the SPF installs:

The oil pan Roush are using is a new development between myself, Roush and Canton. The SPF pan I have not seen. We initially used the Coupe pan, but I do not like it. BTW The pan from Roush is powder coated.

I'm using a wet sump 351W block.

Talked to Roush today they are on back order for about a month. They couldn't tell me much more. I wonder if Canton would share.

Thanks,

John
