Safety wire on the wheel spinner should go from the little hole at the tip of the spinner to where? I have the BRM style wheels. Are folks drilling a small hole in one of the spokes for this? Thanks much.
I’ll also be running these nuts for SCCA legality so your recommendation might serve dual purpose. TBD.The tip of the spinner is more “authentic” I think but not ideal with respect to a positive safety of the spinner.
the best spot for the hole in the nut is at the base of the spinner ear.
The thread direction is your safety!

Proper torque? Tighten them til they strip and then back off half turn.........................CROSS THREAD IS BETTER THAN SAFETY WIRE...
What's the source for these? Do they fit the Vintage Wheels hub?

Ditto, but after drawing blood when cleaning wheels now folding the final twist flat behind the spinner ear out the way. My high school physics suggests the internal angle of the ‘Y’ should not exceed 120 degrees to avoid multiplication of tensile forces on the single strand.
