Safir MKV GT40 on Ebay

Is it just me, or does the Gulf blue used on this GT40 look a little strange in the showroom shots? Assuming it's supposed to be Gulf Blue.

Rob,

This car has been for sale for quite a while. The owner has/had(?) two Safirs(also P1140)in his rather extensive toy collection. In the past, the prices of both were WAY high. I assume that the reserve on this auction is also.
Did you happen to notice the ductwork in the engine bay? It appears that there are ducts to the rear brakes, but where do they feed from, and where do the upper rear clip ducts originate(no snorkels, maybe removed?) and what is their purpose? Anybody have some better detailed photos? Just curious.....

Craig,

It isn't just you. That color is both strange and UGLY!

I thought the green was just a photographic illusion until I noticed in the description that the car is a "Teal" Safir MkV.

They ought to put some air in the rear tires before taking pictures.

Looks like a set of Chris' Gurney valve covers too (or am I seeing the wrong bolt pattern). Interesting way to sell a classic (but I'd trade my ERA even still).
