Scratch build MK IV

Ahh sorry misunderstood the question.
There are also sealing rings from BBS.
But it also works with a special sealant / adhesive from 3M

Today my special center lock hubs arrived.
Fit directly into my Audi R8 wheel bearings. Two with splines for the drive shafts.
Come as a complete ready to install set with tools

Hi,
I am looking for a complete set of instruments for my MK IV.
What would be contemporary and of reasonable quality?
Maybe you have a good source or someone has something lying around.
What is good and what is less.
I am grateful for any tips …

Hi all ,

I have installed a crankshaft from the Eagle Competition Assembly Set , 427 Cid, Mahle -26CC in my engine.

Can any of you perhaps give me the details in the crankshaft for the hole circle for the pulley (4-hole) at the front and rear for the flywheel?
In other words, bolt circle and bolt thread.
I think these are standard dimensions, aren't they?

I have to design my flywheel and belt pulley.

I am also looking for a technical drawing or 3D file of the water pump for the 351, do any of you have this for me?

Hello, I am looking for a small, powerful alternator (approx. 150A), does anyone have an affordable tip for me?
Is there a cheap standard part?
I can only use a V-belt, I can make the pulley myself.

Thanks for your tips

I had a 90 amp on my car….single VBelt (crank water pump and alternator only)
Man did that thing squeal, every start up when max amp generated or if you were running a lot of current draw, like headlights, 2 fuel pumps for EFI, ECU, would be ok when running but idle at traffic lights etc and have the radiator fan come on and th e lights etc and it would squeal like a pig. Seriously tight belt and it still would squeal….eventually lived with the noise and carried a spare belt in case it bust.

How a single belt could transfer 150 amps without being very noisy would have me stumped

Ian

Good tip, I hadn't thought about that, I'll have to look into it again.
I just don't have much room up to the firewall

Please use better filtration than the one in the picture, I use OEM Ford Motorcraft for my ecoboost 3.5 truck because of the drain back valve is far superior than other brands. I am using Wix as my minimum go to filter for my MG's

Did your belts have what I refer to as a 'drive' strip at the widest point of the 'Vee'.

I had previously thought of using a V-ribbed belt - XPZ. 9.7 mm wide.
By "Drive Strip" do you mean the narrow V-belts, e.g. 3V-SPZ?
These are often used in North America and can transmit very high loads.

Or have I misunderstood?

Sorry Jac I cannot remember, I do know I tried a couple of widths so it ran higher in the V…made no difference still squealed.

Ian
I chased a belt squeal for months…my final fix was buying a Goodyear versus trying 2 “other” common brands from the big box stores.
