Sealing front SLC body to chassis

Wondering what other builders are doing to seal up this area?

Was thinking of fabricating some close out panels in this area, but maybe there is a simpler solution…

Joel. this is what Ive used for years on my car builds..the MD is a clay consistency stays like that forever seals great and ez to work with and can fill big gaps. get it at lowes/Hme depot...The 3m strip caulk is very sticky, (I don't use it where someone will rub against it because it sticks to people and clothes!!) I use that on gaps to as well ..and on my bolts and screws to seal holes after I drill...I get that at my local car paint supply store...a must have for me when I do a rebuild or frame off..I'll be using it to seal spots on my slc too!! Great stuff..

I used something like Kurt did. But the foam sealing tape I got expands a BUNCH. I have a couple, don't remember which I used there, but they come off the roll about 1/8-1/4" thick and expand to 1" or 2" (depending on which it is) in a short time. Used the same to seal top of the radiator to the nose (to force the air through the radiator) and to seal firewall to the body.
