lonesomebob that is absolute nonsense and you know it. There are millions of people out of work right now that can barely afford bread and that would do anything to earn a salary. The problem is that the older generation feels as if they are entitled to something and will not work for anything under what THEY value their time to be worth. One might say that they are bitting their nose to spite their face.

Actually, the unemployment rate for college grads is about 4%. The illegal immigrants have taken the bottom out of the construction industry, the food service industry for kid's first jobs, etc. etc. Business is being destroyed by the never ending taxation and regulation, which runs business out of the country, if their big enough to move, or outright out of business.


The older generation is a victim of globalization. Rather than encourage the rest of the world to improve its lot, overthrow dictatorships, get rid of socialism, allow capitalism, the powers that be introduced equal misery to this country, as we see the monthly deterioration of our standard of living.

One might say they are getting their nose smeared in the third world morass this country was founded to rise above.

Top 400 families in the US own 1/2 of the wealth. Same as the bottom of 150 million.

Jeff, you should really question the people who influenced your thought process. Why is this the only country people are flocking to get into? American kids have been ruined by the educational system here. They think they are being screwed by big business and there's no chance for them.

BUT look at an immigrant family. They see the opportunities here and RUN with it! They're too busy establishing their own little business, that they wouldn't have dreamed of in their country, and getting their kids educated!

I find many immigrants more patriotic than most liberal Americans. Period.

I'm not sure I see anybody's nose getting the stink. The "powers that be" are doing quite well, and are rising further and further above a growing, increasingly disengaging, and powerless populace. I don't fear for me, but I have grave concerns from my son and daughter. It would appear we (this nation) are headed, at break-neck speed, into the third-world political and social-economic values. When I see hints and clues of such, I sometimes I feel ignorance is bliss.

It seems the only defense you have for the slaughter of millions of unborn children, the very weakest members of society, is that its religious nonsense! If you have children, can you imagine the difference in your life if you had aborted one of them? Honestly, they had no protection while in the womb, it could have happened to them too with your attitude.

Some people will always walk away from the truth, especially when they've learned how to work the system. Roosevelt set the precedent of forcibly taking away money form one person and giving it to another. It has served the Democratic Party very well, and now we are at the point where almost half the people in this country are taking for granted money and goods given to them for no other reason than that they live here.

We are looooong past the point where people in real need don't get aid. We are at the point now where people are learning they can get more doing nothing, while the productivity in our economy gets punished more and more each year.
