Southern GT Pedal Box accelerator cable outer cable fixture advice please

Hi,

Looking for advice and particularly pictures on how you have secured your accelerator cable outer sheath at the accelerator pedal end of a Southern GT pedal box. Thanks

Plate with a slit hole for the cable, bolted to the steering coloumn bracket using existing bolts. Then bend plate end to fit cable angle. M5 threaded Clevis bolt clip on the end.

Thanks for the reply sounds good, had a similar set up but coming from the bulkhead but not that happy with it. From memory it seems quite a long way from the column to the accelerator pedal, have you got any pictures you could post.

Hi Nick,

I have used the small (5-6”) supplied bracket that mounts the the pedal box to support mine. Seems to work just fine with the two springs at the carb end only.

I did slit it though to allow cable replacement,

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply, that makes sense, unfortunately no bracket supplied with mine. Is it just secured to the pedal box via the one shaft bolt on the side?

I found a clip on clevid pin that worked better the homemade fitting to pedal.
