What should I get?

Grady with a few mods the old V12 jags are pretty nice engines except the oil leaks. I have a XJS HE at my house which is a friend of mines, it really is a nice car with only 68k miles on it but I have a couple big pans under the car!

I vote for the Alfa!

Thanks for your vote, but I sort of already bought the XJ6C with Broadspeed exterior.
I agreed on buying when in good technical condition. The vendor brought the car to a Jag specialist to sort everything out, cause the car has been sitting for 1.5 years now and didn't start when I had a look at it.
I'm not a huge fan of driving the car in the Broadspeed colors and thinking of repainting it after a year or so. Thinking of British Racing Green like in the vid of the Avengers.

Colors and tastes aren't subject to discussion, but, why would you buy a car that had been moded, if you plan to un mod it later?

From my point of view, I would definately go for the BMW. Quite more exclusive, valuable, and appealing. And up today, I never drove anything which was more enjoyable as a BM, it's stiff, runs straight, and this inline 6er's sound!!!!

I would pass on the jag, it has been repainted, flares added, and you don't know what is under the paint, maybe really clean, maybe tons of bondo...

Go for the BMW!

Thanks for your advice, but it's really hard to find a decent (good value) BMW E9. They almost all have a major rust problem. As a fanatic BMW driver, I know what you mean about BMW's.

As for the Jag, I am not planning to unmod it, just the color. I really like the shape of this coupe of wich there were only 10.000 made. The Broadspeed flares really gives it a sportier look.

Before I'll buy it it will be thoroughly inspected at all points, the body and paint thickness by a professional. If all is alright I'll have a good value for money Jag ;-)
