This is a common header design for he SL-C. Has anyone had success wrapping them? The intial curve below the flange makes it very difficult. Anyone have images of how they insulated them to mitigate heat?
I've always thought that header wrap was something of the past in the sense that a good ceramic coating inside and out may be nearly as effective, and prevent the risk of header deterioration over time that the wrap introduces.
You will have no problem wrapping those with header wrap those are easy pieces to do.
I never used any on the lower half of mine instead I shielded everything around them instead.
I would ceramic coat inside and out. Permanent solution and very effective. If you really want to keep the heat in then add this later. I think this stuff would work for a relatively small piece like that.
