    Cooant temprature for EFI

I spoke with the tech line at CompCams/FAST. The computer says the motor is warmed up at 160 so the 180 thermostat should work. Now to put it in and get the car out again.

    Cooant temprature for EFI

I have to change the coolant thermostat and I am running an EZ FAST EFI. The current thermostat was 195 degrees. I would consider lowering the temp to 180 if this would not adversely affect performance of the EFI. I cannot find a reference in the instructions. My radiator cooling fans are...

    Oil filter relocation

The problem is not the standard steel extension. It is the extension that it is attached to so it will clear the a/c compressor.

    Oil filter relocation

Thanks for the tips. That is why I post to this site, feed back is a great way to test and improve ideas. I do have a second port on the oil filter adapter so extending the wires and just run the wire along the same route as the temp sender.

    Oil filter relocation

After. I would like to claim an original thought here, but credit goes to Chuck and Ryan page 10 of their build log. I did modify it a little. I made the bracket on the transaxle 1" taller and used 45 degree fitting off the motor. I did design and fabricate my own brackets. The oil...

I was not pleased with the oil filter located on the firewall or the hardware store fittings for the sensors. These are the before pictures.

    High torque starter

My mounting plate is 5/8'" thick and the total distance to the flywheel to the face of the mounting plate is 1". Is this how you measured your total offset? Tony

    High torque starter

The adapter plate for the 016 transaxle is 5/8" making the total offset 1". I have discovered searching this site that the starter is from a Toyota truck of all things. I have not found anything other than an OE starter. If I ever take the transaxle out I could have the plate machined down...

    High torque starter

Measured the offset from the face of the mounting to the face of the flywheel and it is 1" not 3/4 or 3/8 so now what?

    High torque starter

I did find out what the offset means. It is the distance between the flywheel and the mounting plate. So it is off with the current starter to measure whether it 3/8 or 3/4.

    High torque starter

I have found a high torque compact starter at Sumitt for up to 18:1 compression ratio. They have two choices for the 302. One has 1/4'" offset and the other is 3/8" offset. I am not sure what the offset means so I am not sure which to order. Hopefully this will lessen the hot start...

    My Ferrari 365 GTB4

Great car. I suspect that is less prone the rust issues of the real thing and with the Jaguar V-12, a little more driver friendly in traffic. The cost of rebuilding a 365 engine is the cost of a new Corvette and Jag v-12s are a tenth of that and more importantly, available. The cost factor...

My turn signals work fine with the ignition on an car is still. After driving a while they dont work. If I flip the emergency flasher on and off quickly the turn signal works. I think it is a relay issue but which one: turn signal or flasher unit? Thanks for the ideas as neither of the...
