    RCR GT40 REAR WINDOW

Kim. I’m not able to get a measurement of the glass thickness without taking things apart. I would reach out to Bill at RCR. - Alan

    RCR Gt40 Rocker Install?

Not much to see. But they used 5 stainless Allen bolts spaced fairly evenly on each side. Let me know if you have any questions. - Alan

    RCR Gt40 Rocker Install?

Mine was done by RCR. They drilled and tapped holes and were screwed directly to the chassis. Probably four on each side - evenly spaced. Let me know if you want pics or have questions. - Alan

    RCR GT40 REAR WINDOW

You can get glass from RCR. I ordered mine with it. There is no drilling of the glass required - the aluminum frame and bolts capture the glass. I ordered it for noise reduction, but the car is loud regardless (I wear earplugs). - Alan.

Dave, the biggest issue is making right hand turns where the approach road is not perpendicular to the road that you are turning onto. If it is a full merge, like on a highway, my mirrors are fairly effective. If it is somewhere between a merge and perpendicular approach, the lack of window...

Thanks Eddy. That may be the issue. BTW. that catalog is a great resource. I look forward to paging through.

Brian. I believe that Chris reached out to you. The principles may be the same even with a linkage (although I don’t know your adjustment options). But essentially, I didn’t have my shift lever aligned to engage the reverse lockout correctly - the shifter was hitting the wall of the shift lever...

    Alan's RCR40

Ron, I got the engine from Keith Craft. It was already built for a Cobra customer with an automatic transmission who backed out. I got a good price on an aluminum block engine, but it had vacuum activated secondaries. I expect that I will be switching soon to mechanical... Thx.

    Alan's RCR40

I thought an update was in order as I now have over 1,000 miles on the car. My last post ended with a mention of working on gearbox selection issues (grinding when I grabbed reverse and difficulty getting 1st) and chasing (what I thought was) a slipping belt. It has taken some time, but I had a...

    Louis' RCR MKII Build

Louis. Can you get a pic or measurement of the setback of the spider from the spare tire well?

    Louis' RCR MKII Build

Louis. Where does the very front of the bottom of your spider sit in relation to the “spare tire” well? Is it flush with that well edge, or does it sit back ~3/4”? - Alan

Crossed the finish line backwards.... just like Talledega nights!

Wow Chris. That looks pretty claustrophobic. Will make the GT feel spacious!

    Alan's RCR40

It has been almost three months since I last posted. I have about 500 miles on the car… not exactly trouble free miles! Sorting and development was always expected, but I have lost time to a couple issues that I would not have expected. All that being said, the experience when driving is...
