    M20 Dreaming

You know you're on the right track when it looks like it's doing 200 mph while sitting in the garage, still primered.

    Head rest design

I used the same 3M adhesive to apply black cloth (a thin type of canvas that was easy to clean/vacuum), to my foam 1/2" cushion seat inserts and lumbar support.

    Head rest design

Yep on your last statement. I can't realistically build it for 10G (or 30G), but it can support my head, provided some level of deceleration if I back into anything fast, and if designed properly (or as properly as I can), won't present additonal risks aside from nothing existing at all. The key...

    Head rest design

fracturing is not a bad thing in that it does remove energy during the process. My bike helmet is essentially that philosophy. One crash use, and you replace it. Great post, as I'm working through the same issues. My smaller wind screen still deflects air over to the top of the helmet, but a...

    Formula 1/2 2020

For those still interested in the F1 for this season, if you haven't watched it, the latest race (Silverstone) has one of the best finishes I've ever seen. Last 5 laps or so sets it up.

    nasty blow over crash

Great story Randy. Not sure I'd ever get "it" back to go at speed again.

    Bryan's GT-Forte build

The only .125" wall tubing I'm using is the lower control lateral links (front and rear). All other tubes are swaged (swedged, etc) .090", which includes the lower compression (front) tube, and all rear lateral links, and upper arm tubes.

    nasty blow over crash

Amazing luck if you want to call it that. A good straight to recover on. I bet he wondered if it would ever quit sliding to a stop.

Thanks for the update Russell. Sounds like perhaps you're working through this fairly well, but lot's we don't know about. Thinking of ya.

    McLaren M20#73

Really clean, nice, work. I did the same thing with my floor pan, for the same reason, but later changed it to a separate removeable plate (lots of removeable fasteners), but that plate seemed to stay off more than on for several reasons: dry sump had a small gasket leak that I could never fix...

Thank you for the refreshing a pleasant memory of Keith's posts. I always targeted on them when I saw them, regardless of the subject.

Mike, there are any number of LED round red and amber lights out there on the market in various diameters. Super cheap (enough to double-order for spares if ever needed). Looks like perhaps 2.5-3.0" in diameter.

Russell. Sorry to hear the sad news. Thank you for sharing the challenges in dealing with this, and sharing this news.

    SLC body part rack

Pretty neat! Would be cool to find a way to hinge part of it so it could fold flatter, and set up against the wall of a trailer.
