The funny things people say to you about your SLC...

A Sauber C9 would be awesome! It seems to have a bit more of a rake than the SLC, maybe a higher belt line? It's one of my favorite sounding race cars with its twin turbo DOHC V8.

    Superlite GTA

This! I think this car should focus on I-4s and V6s, with the possible exception for the LS4 drivetrain. If you want to get the younger crowd interested, you should focus on the stuff they're already used to like K20s, 4G63s, VQ35/37s, etc.

The search engine is screwed up

Using Google is pretty easy. Just type this in the search box. For the RCR sub-forum: site:gt40s.com/forum/rcr-forum-rcr40-slc-p4-mkiv/ "search term" For the clubhouse: site:gt40s.com/forum/slc-clubhouse/ "search term" Make sure there is a space between the url and your search term. This...

    Please entertain my ignorance

Your friend sounds like someone that cannot be reasoned with using logic. As John alluded to, you could try pointing him towards the works of Colin Chapman. The GT-R is too heavy to really be competitive. The AWD makes it great from a dig, assuming something doesn't break, but that's about it...

    SLC 36 Cam's Build

Your car does draw an impressive crowd. The only other car I saw surrounded like that was the F12 Berlinetta that showed up. I did see a grown man practically running toward your car after you parked yelling to his friend, "Dude, SLC!" Your car does an amazing job of advertising.

    Superlite GTA

I believe I fall into your target demographic. I finally picked up a 2004 Honda S2000 with hardtop for $17500 a month ago after wanting one for 7-8 years. When I compared the GTA to the Rossion a while ago, I was only thinking in terms of design and performance since the GTA was rumored to...

    Something we all need:

My father started using it on his RV recently and so far it seems to help. So far so good. All I can say is that you might wanna check out some of the RV forums to read up on it.

    Truck-engined SLC? Engine management?

Never said it was practical. Another price to pay in the quest to be different. Whether you're adjusting valve lash or replacing apex seals, it's just gotta be done, right? :drunk: Now you just need a flat-plane crank. Nissan VK45DE GTR (Honda HSV-010 in vid for comparison): MOTUL AUTECH GT-R

    Truck-engined SLC? Engine management?

For some reason I really like the sound of this solid roller Corvette and its overrun: Z06 Corvette - 408ci solid roller - 582rwhp

    Anodized Chassis

ME actually. My graduate thesis research focused on studying aluminum deformation under incipient melt conditions. I learned quite a bit, still no expert by any means. The aging time and temperature to achieve a certain temper are pretty specific with aluminum alloys. For example, the ASTM...

    Anodized Chassis

Powder coating aluminum also creates potential problems. If you are baking the aluminum, you are potentially ruining its "temper." All of the aluminum alloys are made using a specific process of annealing, cooling and aging in order to meet the ASTM and AA standards. This is all done in order to...

    New rear-view mirror option?

Yup, I like the AMOLED screen. It looks like it's got a decent resolution as well. Planetlemans.com | Audi R18 look into the future with a digital rear-view mirror This is where I first read about it, not a new idea but it looks like a better implementation. With it coming to production cars...
