While the Gulf flares do add a little flair to the overall appearance, I actually prefer the original look, with wires. That being said, John and 'frknfast', your cars look fantastic! Jim

He put a lot of effort into that kit. I'd have to say it's on a par with those Exoto build-ups. I know someone who is working on a street version of that kit. Fujimi does make a nice model. Too bad my eyesight isn't what it used to be. As if 1:24 isn't small enough, there are some nice 1:43...

I don't recall at which event this was, but the car was not entered in the race. He was there to watch the race/show off. I'll look through my slides and report back later for documentation. Jim

Having recently acquired a slide scanner, I am finally able to digitize my old slides at will. Please excuse the condition of these; the dust has been included at no extra charge. These shots are apparently of P 1051, and were taken at Watkins Glen, N.Y. The car almost appears to be silver...

I have one of the Jouef models that Ian K mentioned; it really isn't bad for the money, although the detail IS a bit sparse. It does, however, have a complete engine and transaxle beneath the hinged tail section. Jim
