Thanks. I couldn't find anything online that looks like these, so I suppose that they are just a fabrication.

The current owner bought the car as it is and he believes that it came as a complete car from South Africa with an engine in it.

I didn't know if they were still building engines, or someone else building them in their name. Or, if it's common to do a kind of "replica" by doing as you said, with the rocker covers exhaust,etc. I do know that this engine was most likely built in South Africa.

I had a call from a guy with a blue Superformance GT40, who lives in MA. I think it was a p212x chassis number. Anybody know who that is? I saved his number in my iPhone, but never back it up, dropped it into some snow the other day (lesson learned). Thanks for your help. Ken, [email protected]
