    Diffuser anyone?

Very true, the holes are for sure counter productive to the diffuser design, we decided that we would place some holes to add a little interest. I'm not a fan of that detail as it detracts from the "purpose built" look that Mike is going for. Not sure what you're thinking about that detail...

    You want one...

Yep, I can assure all of you that Mike will go to jail someday because of that exhaust  It is the LOUDEST exhaust note I've ever heard on a street car.

    Diffuser anyone?

Thanks Bill, I'll go check this thread out in a while. But for now I'll try to answer your questions. The diffuser on Mikes car actually extends only as far as the longest part of the rear of the car. So, I don't feel that there is extra turbulence created. I think we have at least 4" from...

    Diffuser anyone?

Larry, I think you're right, a three element detail would be more aggressive for sure. Any number of changes could be done to change/improve the aesthetics. oh, and about the purists...I am used to them giving me flack at first. I dealt with a lot of that stuff when I was building Porsche 356...

    Diffuser anyone?

If we were to talk about what is needed for a street car we would be on the SUV forum right now. Come on Alan.....can I call you Alan yet? (all in good fun....I know I'm the newbie ) most of these cars are owned because they look killer and like race cars. I could point out at least...

    Diffuser anyone?

Haha..... No, I mean "vein" like a branching passage, forming framework for the passage of fluid or air. I'm not refering to a stailizing fin but rather a structure to channel and direct air. The value, if you're into performance is to create a better handling car while embelishing the "race...

    Diffuser anyone?

Mike, it has been a pleasure to work on your car. I really enjoy building period aero bits. I've built several diffusers mostly fitted to Lotus cars. It doesn't really require a wind tunnel to achieve positive results when fitting a diffuser. A few basic principles need to be understood...
